Pont de la Concorde

The Pont de la Concorde was built by engineer Jean-Rodolphe Perronet in 1791, with stone recovered from the Bastille demolition during the Revolution. It links the Tuileries Gardens and Place de la Concorde, one of the main public squares in Paris, with the Quai d'Orsay across the Seine. From the Left Bank side, the Obelisk of Luxor defines the square, with the Hôtel Crillon to the left of it, the Naval Ministry to the right and between them in the background is the Madeleine at the end of rue Royale.
