St. Patrick's Cathedral

One of the magnificent cathedrals lining Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, St. Patrick's Cathedral is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Designed by architect James Renwick (completed 1879), the cathedral's Gothic Revival building type results in a formality in the sanctuary space, complemented by an elaborately decorated interior.
