Grand Central

Grand Central Terminal's ticket windows.

Commuters in the terminal's Main Concourse navigate a complex transportation hub--44 platforms and 67 tracks on  two levels below ground. The Midtown Manhattan train station was returned to its original 1913 appearance in fall, 1998 with the completion of a 12-year restoration.

The Main Concourse's marble and brass information pagoda with its iconic four-sided clock. Schedules maintained over the region on the Metro-North Railroad extend to Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties in New York State, and Fairfield and New Haven counties in Connecticut.

A maze of indoor corridors and tunnels to various restaurants, shops and platforms creates a city within a city.
