One of the original seven cast-iron bridges, designed by architects Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould, Pine Bank Arch spans the bridle path in southwest Central Park. Among the oldest of such bridges in the United States, built in 1861 by J.B. and W.W. Cornell Ironworks (restored in 1984 by the Parks Department), Pine Bank Arch's ornamental railings and interlaced tracery are distinctive. The park features a variety of bridge and arch designs of which no two are alike, among the greatest decorative park bridge collections in the country.

I love this photo and I love this bridge. My husband and I were married on this bridge last July.
That is so sweet. This bridge is lovely along with its surroundings. I'm glad that you love the photo too. Thank you for visiting my blog.
