Building the new World Trade Center, Lower Manhattan. The 16-acre site will encompass the 9/11 Memorial's two signature reflecting pools, Sept. 11 Museum (beneath the Memorial Plaza), visitor's pavilion, performing arts center, transportation hub, and five towers (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 WTC). Designed by architect David Childs, 1 World Trade Center (1776 feet, 104 floors of office and retail space, occupancy 2013) will be the tallest building in the United States, redefining the New York City skyline.
