A Beaux Arts-style opera house located in Boston's Theatre District, the Cutler Majestic Theatre at Emerson College (1903, architect John Galen Howard), is a music, theater, dance, and opera performance space for Emerson College and several arts companies.
A Boston Historic Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, the theater was converted for vaudeville shows in the 1920s and into a movie house in the 1950s before being purchased and renovated by Emerson College in the mid-'90s.
